This article focuses on the role of the queen in cardology, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses and how they affect our personal and professional interactions. If your birthcard is a queen or one of these queens shows up in one of your spreads and they usually will at some point, this blog is for you.

What is a Queen in Cardology?

Queens, in a deck of cards, is linked to a specific suit—hearts, clubs, diamonds, or spades. In cardology, they embody quintessential archetypes of female leadership no matter the gender. These powerful people are service-oriented and will always rule their job or household in a nurturing and maternal way. Don’t get it twisted though, these people are no pushovers. They are the second most powerful cards in the deck and can be even more powerful than the kings. And that’s at times packing more of a punch that Mr.-most-powerful-card-in-the-deck,” King of Spades, who smites them all when he shows up in your spreads so I would say that is pretty mighty. We’ll talk about them another day, though. Right now, we are giving the queens their flowers.

Our queens rule with wisdom and are masters of leadership, creativity, and emotional intelligence. They often fall short in relationships especially the Queen of clubs and diamonds. It is challenging for a queen’s communication style to fit in today’s society. I know because I have a Queen of Spades in Mercury (the planet of communication) in my life spread and my tone is often misunderstood. When presenting my dilemma to a community of cardology enthusiasts, a senior cardologer once told me, matter-of-factly, “of course you have issues, not everyone has access to the Queen.” Meaning, not everyone is meant to understand a queen nor should they. Her words brought me such peace. And though I am still conscious of my delivery, I, now, I have less guilt around being misunderstood.

Now let’s examine the distinct qualities of these queens to gain insights into how you or they are impacting the world.

Queen of Hearts

The Queen of ❤️ is celebrated for her magnetism, beauty, loving nature, and sensuality. There are many reasons she might pull up, but some fun ones are: you might be getting married, having a baby or doing the thing that would make someone put a baby in you, short-term or long-term. ;-) Just saying. This queen commands respect and will no doubt achieve it. A huge aspect of her many successes is indicated by her King of Spades (the most powerful card in the deck) in Mars. She and the 4 of ♣️ wield superpowers like no other.

· Strengths:

· Known as the “The Loving Mother” card, this queen has a natural ability to nurture, guide with integrity, mother her children or others with an abundance of love.

· Weaknesses: Clouded by the double-Neptune blind-spots, our queen of hearts is prone to overindulgence, laziness, indecision, and codependence.

Queen of Clubs

In cardology, clubs thrive on communication, knowledge, and education. The Queen of ♣️’ intelligence and creativity make her a successful and influential figure in these same circles especially with the lucky 10 of diamonds blessing her from its second karma card position. This club queen also has an A of ♠️ in Jupiter which will bless her in spiritual or mystical pursuits.

It’s never that easy in cardology, however. This “Mother of Intuition” is, also, known to be “high-strung” stressing out herself and others. She could be more effective if she slowed down enough to tap into her rich reservoir of past lives. They are just chillin’ waiting for her to tap in. Another word for tapping in is intuition. And it is very special with this one, my friends, oh, if you know you know and many of them don’t (sigh).

Known as one of the “unmarriageables”, our club Queen, ” is greatly challenged in the relationship arena. She has a 3 of Hearts first karma card which means that she is racked with emotional indecision and the 7 of hearts in Saturn bringing her tough lessons in love ain’t helping her at all. Not to mention the 5 of clubs (another unmarriageable card) in Venus which just screams, always thinking about freedom. I will say that our club Queen can find love but only with inner work.

· Strengths: Intellectual, communicative, and a strategic thinker. She excels in environments that require quick thinking.

· Weaknesses: Can be overly critical, sometimes confrontational. Her high standards and critical nature often create tension in relationships.

Queen of Diamonds

The Queen of ♦️ is one of my favorite cards. My bestie is this Queen. And yes, this card represents money and a strong value system. Speaking of being full of indecision, that is our sweet Queen of Diamonds. She has all of the 3’s. What does that mean, you say? 3’s represent creativity, a plethora of choices and an ocean full of indecision. OMG, my life spread this year has a 3 of ♥️ long range which means indecision lives in my heart. Our Queen of Diamonds is rich with creativity, nurturing and prefers to be in charge. They can get what they want most if not all of the time, due to their charming ways. By the way, I didn’t mention earlier, that the first karma card is one that challenges you by representing the lower qualities of the card. With the diamond queen, the 3 of ♦️ is you guessed it, her first karma card. It’s hard for her to settle into a relationship because potential lovers are still throwing offers (or undies) her way. She experiences multiple careers and diverse paths. Her energy builds on achievements, and with that 3 of diamonds, her love for change can cause indecision and financial stress.

· Strengths: Innovative, adaptable, and financially savvy. She has a unique ability to turn creative ideas into profitable ventures.

· Weaknesses: Indecision, sometimes financially imprudent, carelessly spending on loved ones. Desiring change and new experiences can sometimes lead to financial instability.

Queen of Spades

Lastly, we have the Queen of ♠️ who embodies authority and leadership on the highest level…well, almost. The King of Spades holds the reputation of being the most powerful card in the deck. But various authors, at times, allow the queens especially the Queen of Spades to hold the title. Why is that? Apparently, cardology experts claim it is because the King of Spades, though powerful, can be a little sensitive. And the Queens as the feminine archetypes are already used to mastering their emotions. And my opinion as a life student of human nature, is that our queens are more flexible. The King of Spades never moves in the Life Spread. Our Queen of Spades represents mastery in hard work and wisdom. Her greatest challenge is learning how to be positive when she inevitably finds herself in subordinate positions. In the Spiritual Spread, she holds the place in the “Crown” position. However, in the mundane world as it is called in cardology, she is often a cleaning lady, trash man, a nurse, etc. Knowing that her roots are regal, she can be bitter, jealous, antagonistic, and most of all negative which hinders her ascension back to the “Crown.” She can do it. Our Queen has come to master, and she will.

I know of one Queen of Spades who has displayed mastery in multiple ways. She would not call herself perfect, because she is humble. And no one is perfect, but her incredible journey shows the Queen of Spades’ ascension in motion. From background singer on Ally McBeal to mother to juggling it all, is, Tony-winning actress, Reneé Elise Goldberry.

· Strengths: Determined, authoritative, and strategic. She is highly respected for her ability to lead and make tough decisions.

· Weaknesses: Can be overly dominant, prone to workaholism. Her intense focus on success can sometimes lead to burnout and strained relationshi
